I work with cryptography code a lot, and I completely agree here.  I really 
don't care if I have to call an inline function named rotl() instead of 
having a custom operator to do it.  It's very little inconvenience, and it 
ends up the same machine instruction anyway.  It's better not having to 
deal with adding a new operator for something rather rare.  (Whereas 
needing operator <=> is a lot more common than needing bit rotation.)
