As proposed an interpolated= string literal isn't an expression as such, it produces a sequence of = tokens such that it will provide the operator and RHS of an << binary= expression.=C2=A0 The tokens include a mixture of ordinary literal strings= and expressions, just like in a normal << iostreams statement.
